Now, some ingredient are always optional however, with this recipe I suggest you stick to the main ingredients, which is fresh green beans which will give you that vibrant green bold color and crunch.

What Ingredients you will need?

Green Beans – Main ingredients
Cooked bacon (cut in bites) – for that sweet Smokey flavor
Ranch Seasoning – For that fresh herd spice flavor
Powder Seasoning – Smoke Paprika, Black Pepper
Water

Can I use can Green beans? Yes but it will not have that extra crunch.

What is blanch? Is a cooking process in which a fruits or vegetables, is scalded in boiling water just for a brief moment then plunged into iced cold to stop the cooking process. Also With this process it helps remove dirt’s and brighten the food color while the vegetables remain crunchy when cook.

How long can blanching food last? Blanched food normally store the freezer using air tight containers for up to 3 months.

Is blanching healthy? Yes it is, remember blanching helps minimize the loss of nutrients.
Note I blanched my beans before cooking to preserve the color and crunch. Blanching process is boiling fresh green beans for a couple of minutes and quickly shocking them in ice cold water to stop the cooking.

How long does it take to blanch green beans? Green beans only need 3-5 minutes in boiling water to blanch. However remember you will need to add green beans in ice cold water to stop the cooking process then drain immediately. For best practice have ice water prep before hand and add salt to boiling water.

How to make Bacon Ranch Green Beans?

Step 1 – Place chopped bacon into a large skillet and cook over medium heat until crispy.
Use a paper towel to remove excess oil from skillet
Step 2 – Add blanched green beans to pan and cook over medium heat until they are lightly tender, stirring occasionally (about 3-4 minutes).

Step 3 – Add smoked paprika, pepper, ranch seasoning toss and water cook for 1 minute more. Served and Enjoyed!

Bacon Ranch Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups Blanched Green Beans
  • 3 Slices cooked bacon (cut in bites)
  • 1/4 Cup Ranch Seasoning
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Smoke Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 3 Tablespoon Water

Instructions
