HOW TO MAKE BROWN STEW GOAT?

Wash and season goat meat with all the seasonings listed above. Except carrots and potatoes and then let it marinate for 4-24 hrs longer the better.

Step 2
In a large frying pan, heat oil over medium heat then add the goat meat stir frequently cover let simmer for 5-6 minutes

Step 3
Next, add meat to the pressure cooker with just enough water to cover the meat. Let pressure for 30-35 minutes or until fork tender.

Step 4
Pour cooked meat into a saucepan over medium heat then add onions, thyme, green onions, scotch bonnet pepper, potatoes, carrots, and more powder seasoning (if desired) salt to taste, and water if needed.

Step 5
Finally, Stir for about a minute and cover to simmer for about 10-15 or until potatoes, and carrots are tender and gravy is thick enough. Tender potatoes will increase the thickness of the gravy.

Ingredients
  •  3-pound goat meat (cut in chunks)
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoon browning
  • 1 -2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 2 tablespoons green seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon complete seasoning
  • 3 fresh thyme sprig
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 2- 3 large Irish potatoes (cut cubes)
  • 2-3 large carrots (cut into slices)
  • 1 scotch bonnet pepper
  • 5-8 allspice berry
  • Hot sauce (optional)
  • Salt to taste

 

Instructions
